2nd Day of 2018 CNY Snapshots

On the 2nd day of 2018 CNY, I had started the day late – it was blazing hot by 12noon, followed by the atmosphere turning cooler and darker after 2pm.

That was an indication of an incoming thunderstorm. The rain came shortly after 3pm, and didn't stop until almost 5pm. I finally went out to look for empty streets and roads.

This being the 2nd day of 2018 CNY, there should be less traffic during the holidays, something which is impossible to snap on normal days, as can be seen in the photos above and below.

As with all the documented images from the past few days, today's images were snapped with the EOS 5D Mark IV w/ EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM zoom lens, set to Cloudy WB in the beginning.

As expected, the road was quite clear of traffic to the extent I could have a Selfie snapped showing how empty it was.

From snapping the empty roads, I decided to get off my motorcycle and explore the nearby streets, and came across some CNY decorations in the form of lanterns representing each of the Chinese Zodiac characters outside Central Market.

Unlike some shopping malls which had abstained from displaying the Doggie, Central Market had prominently display this year's Zodiac character outside its main entrance (above).

The rest of the Zodiac characters are displayed a few metres away, after the main LED lights of the venue, as shown below.
