Eve of CNY 2018 Snapshots

It's the day after Valentine's Day, and for some parts of the world, February 15 is just another day.

But for countries which have a sizable population of Chinese people (other than China, Hong Kong and Taiwan), this day in Year 2018 also marks the eve of the Lunar New Year of The Doggie, or simply known as Chinese New Year (CNY) in Malaysia and Singapore.

Armed with just the EOS 5D Mark IV fitted with EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM zoom lens, I went looking for snapshots featuring the occasion.

Majority of the Chinese Malaysians have gone back to their hometowns for the compulsory CNY reunion dinner. The crowd that can be found at major malls are Malaysians of other faiths as well as tourists who were awed by the sight of the CNY decorations.

Shared here are some the scenes I came across at The Curve mall in Petaling Jaya.
