Oppo Malaysia unveils 25MP Oppo F7

A huge crowd comprising the media, dealers from across the nation and invited guests were widely expected for the grand launch of the latest smartphone by Oppo, the new F7, also known as the Selfie Expert.

And indeed the turnout was huge. In fact, anything to with a new smartphone launch nowadays is expected to be huge, given the numerous segments of people as mentioned above invited.

However, for the Oppo F7 grand launch, there's a reason for the huge attendance – 2/4 of them were fans of Hebe Tien, one of the 3-member troupe of Taiwanese pop group S.H.E., who has been recruited as the Oppo's brand ambassador for Taiwan. She was joined at the launch with Oppo's Malaysian ambassador, Neelofa.

Gone were the days when a new phone is just… well, a phone. Each new model entering the competitive market is presented more for its camera capabilities than its phone and online features.

The latest Oppo F7 is powered by a Mediatek Helio P60 CPU processor with 64 GB, 4 GB RAM or 128 GB, 6 GB RAM. The device also has a 6.23-inch LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen (1080 x 2280 pixels, 405 ppi) display. It has a 16MP rear camera and supports Wifi, GPS, 3G and 4G LTE. It packs in a Non-renewable Li-Ion 3400 mAh battery at 7.8mm device thickness and weight 158g, running on Android 8.0 (Oreo).

The Oppo F7 is also powered by Artificial Intelligence (A.I), taking its smartphone technology to newer heights. The A.I technology employed allows the Oppo F7 to provide for better Selfie photography similar to images snapped by a consumer digital camera.

Together with the Super full screen and upgraded multi-tasking software, the Oppo F7 offers consumers a better user experience.

The new Oppo F7 is now retailing at RM1,399 in Malaysia, and is available online from outlets such as Lazada and electronics dealers like Senhemg and SenQ.
